About
Marcos Samerson is a photographer based in Rio de Janeiro, working throughout Brazil and internationally. A professional photographer since 2008, he has developed a visual language defined by an attentive approach to people, atmosphere and the moments that unfold between the planned and the spontaneous.
His work spans portraiture, music, artists, corporate projects and selected events. Rather than simply documenting a scene, he seeks to understand the person in front of the camera and translate personality, presence and context into photography.
Throughout his career, his work has taken him to destinations across Brazil and abroad, including Ibiza, Menorca, Portugal, Sardinia, Buenos Aires and Punta del Este. In music and the arts, he has photographed concerts, portrait sessions, backstage moments and both Brazilian and international artists, while also developing extensive experience in portraiture and studio lighting.
His career also includes coverage of major events in Rio de Janeiro, such as the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, New Year’s Eve in Copacabana and Rio Carnival, as well as projects for companies, professionals and brands.
A graduate in Photography from Universidade Estácio de Sá, he founded We Love Photo in 2011. Today, he focuses his personal work on portraiture, artists and music, alongside corporate photography projects and selected events.
